Simon Hollyhead is a football coach serving as the Manager of Banbury United Football Club since .
He is the holder of a UEFA Pro Licence and a LMA Diploma in Football Management.
Hollyhead’s coaching career began when he was recruited by Roland Nilsson, ex-manager of Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City, to be his assistant at Malmö FC from 2010 to 2014. Following his stint in Sweden, he held Assistant Manager positions at SK Brann FC in Norway and Odense FC in Denmark. In 2018, he joined Stevenage FC as Assistant Manager, where he contributed to the team reaching a League 2 play-off position before his departure.
In addition to his UEFA Pro-license, Hollyhead holds a Diploma in Football Management from the League Managers’ Association and serves as a Judicial Services Panel Member at the FA. He will manage Banbury United while continuing his role as Head of Elite Sport at Northampton Academy, United Learning Trust, where he has been enhancing the performance of talented young athletes for the past three years.
