Mark Molesley is a 43-year old football coach serving as the Manager of Weymouth Football Club since . He has previously been associated with Aldershot Town, Gosport Borough and Grays Athletic during his career.
During his playing career, Molesley featured in the Football League for AFC Bournemouth, Aldershot Town, Plymouth Argyle, and Exeter City, and in the Football Conference for Hayes, Cambridge City, Stevenage Borough, and Grays Athletic. He began his career at Hayes, progressing through their youth system before moving on to several clubs, ultimately joining AFC Bournemouth, where he made his debut in a League Two match against Shrewsbury Town on October 18, 2008. He later joined Exeter City in January 2013 but was released in April 2013.
Molesley started his coaching career in 2015 with AFC Bournemouth’s under-15s. In 2016, while playing for Weymouth, he also took on a player-coach role. His managerial career progressed when he was appointed manager of Southend United in August 2020 on a three-year contract, although his tenure ended in April 2021 due to poor results. Molesley then managed Aldershot Town from September 2021 until October 2022. Following this, he served as Director of Football at Gosport Borough from November 2022 until the end of the season. In October 2023, he became the manager of Hayes & Yeading United and returned to Weymouth for a second managerial spell on April 1, 2024.
