Craig Edwards

Craig Edwards is a football coach who is currently unattached. He has previously been associated with Billericay Town, Chelmsford City, Cheshunt, Dulwich Hamlet, Grays Athletic and Kingstonian during his career.

A former professional boxer and striker, Edwards is a well-known figure in non-league football management, particularly at steps 2, 3, and 4 of the English football pyramid. He has a notable track record of managing multiple teams at these levels. In 2017/18, Craig took charge of Cheshunt towards the end of the season, successfully helping the team avoid relegation troubles. His ambitious goal for the 2018/19 season was to achieve promotion, a target he impressively met. The season was highlighted by an unbeaten run towards the end and was capped off with a victory in the play-off final.

Throughout his managerial career, Craig has been at the helm of several clubs, adding a rich variety of experiences to his portfolio. His former clubs include Barkingside, Barking, Southend United Youth, Grays Athletic, Redbridge, Chelmsford City, Dulwich Hamlet, Billericay, and Kingstonian.

Craig’s accomplishments and contributions to the game have been recognized beyond the pitch. In 2017, he was honored with an induction into the Isthmian League Radio Show Hall of Fame.
