Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC, nicknamed “The Green Army,” is a non-league football club based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Established in 1907, they currently compete in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division, which is part of the seventh tier of English football. The team calls Horsfall Community Stadium their home ground.
Bradford Association Football Club was formed in 1907 and used the ground Park Avenue to distinguish itself from Bradford City AFC and Bradford Northern RLFC. The ground was originally established in 1880 as the home of a Rugby Club. In 1945-46 the club reached the FA Cup Quarter-Final, but relegation followed in 1950 and they were replaced by Cambridge United in 1960. The club was reformed in 1988 and joined the West Riding County Amateur League, going on to gain promotion to the Unibond League and then the Northern Premier League.
In 2000/2001 they won the Unibond League Division One and gained promotion to the Unibond Premier Division. After a few seasons at this level, the club won the Unibond Division One North title in 2008 and gained promotion to the Conference North. After relegation in 2015, the club regained promotion at the end of the 2017-18 season and reached the play-offs for the following two seasons, but failed to gain promotion. In 2019 Mark Bower and Danny Boshell returned to take the managerial roles and signed 3 year contracts in 2020.
