Altrincham Football Club, nicknamed “The Robins,” is a non-league football club based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

Established in 1891, they currently compete in the Vanarama National League, which is part of the fifth tier of English football. The team calls Moss Lane their home ground.

Altrincham FC, as of the 2023-24 season, competes in the Vanarama National League, following a promotion in 2020 under managers Phil Parkinson and Neil Sorvel. This promotion came after a period of decline, including relegations from higher divisions. The club was a founding member of the Alliance, winning it twice but not promoted to the Football League due to existing policies.

In 2022, Altrincham announced a transition to full-time professional status, indicating a significant shift in its operational model. Historically, the club has experienced various promotions and relegations, highlighting its fluctuating performance in non-league football.

Off the pitch, the club has focused on community engagement and financial stability, involving no transfer fees for players under previous management. It supports youth and women’s teams and has built a community sports hall at its Moss Lane ground, now known as the J. Davidson Stadium. This approach has helped maintain the club’s presence in non-league football while fostering community ties.
