Mildenhall Town Football Club, nicknamed “The Hall,” is a non-league football club based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.
Established in 1898, they currently compete in the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division, which is part of the eighth tier of English football. The team calls Recreation Way their home ground.
The club has been a cornerstone of East Anglia’s local football scene for generations. Celebrating their 125th anniversary in the 2023/24 season, the club’s early achievements include winning the Suffolk Junior Cup in 1899/1900 by defeating Southwold 4-0. Over the years, the club has had many memorable moments, such as players in the 1920s changing in the town hall and being led to games by a marching band.
Significant developments occurred under the leadership of chairman Brian Brigden in the 1990s. Brigden’s tenure brought substantial improvements to the club’s facilities, including upgrading the ground to meet current standards and constructing a new clubhouse. During this period, Mildenhall Town consistently secured commendable positions in the Eastern Counties League (ECL) Premier Division, demonstrating the club’s growing competitiveness and stability.
The club’s greatest success came in the 2016/17 season when they achieved a remarkable double victory by winning the league and the cup, finishing nine points clear and earning promotion to the Isthmian League.
